Stipan i ikavica u Sumadiji.
Remains of Medieval Serbian church from 14th century,
excavated at Donje Crkvine arcaheological site in Kamenica village, on Rudnik mountain, near Kragujevac, Šumadija region, central Serbia.
Site is important because of one grave stone from the years 1369-1371. Tombstone was erected on the grave of monk Stipan, and it has Cyrillic inscription which is mentioning two Serbian rulers from that time – Emperor Uroš and Prince Lazar. Kamenica belonged to the state of Prince Lazar, but this inscription testifies that he was subordinated to the Emperor Uroš.
Dimensions of the tombstone, 175 x 56 x 21 cm and orinaments are suggesting that monk Stipan was of noble origin.
Inscriptions says: “here lies God’s servant Stipan”… after that there is damaged part that can’t be red, and at the end “he was killed in the days of Emperor Uroš, in the state of Prince Lazar. Stone was erected by his nephew Vojihna. Priest Mitko wrote this inscription. Amen.”

A to pisa pop Mitko, amin”
