"A Big Y-700 was completed in March 2018 for kit 436776. He has Serbian paternal ancestry from northern Bosnia and Herzegovina and according to his Y111 results he belongs to the Dinaric South cluster. But he has no names on his Y-DNA matches lists at the Y25, Y37, Y67 or Y111 level, and only 5 matches, Genetic Distance=1, at the Y12 level.
He has DYS561=16, Dinaric South men with this value are more often from SE Europe and more often belong to a I-PH908* branch instead of a named branch. (Men with DYS561=15 have a stronger tendency to be from elsewhere in Europe and to belong to a large named branch). And Dinaric South men with DYS561=16 and DYS557=17 or 18 often belong to specific downstream branches, but he has the typical value DYS557=16.
According to his Big Y-700, kit 436776 is PH908+. The PH908 region was sequenced in very few Big Y-500 tests, but it is inside tested regions in some Big Y-700 tests. He is ancestral for all SNPs below PH908, and he has no shared downstream variants with any previous Big Y result. Therefore his haplogroup is currently I-PH908*.
He has 19 unique variants that weren't reported in any previous I-P37 Big Y. 8 of these variants were covered in the Big Y-500 and are definitely his private variants. Most of the remaining 11 variants weren't covered in the Big Y-500 and they are possibly shared with some of the men who did Big Y-500.
Because the Big Y-700 sequences additional regions of the Y chromosome, maybe we will discover new SNPs that are immediately below PH908. There is a new SNP called FT14506, Big Y-700s for some branches of I-PH908 show FT14506+ results and Big Y-700s for other branches of I-PH908 show FT14506- results. At the moment we have the following results:
a PH908+ man in the DYS561=15 cluster has FT14506- results
two PH908+ men in the DYS561=16 cluster have FT14506+ results, one of them has DYS557=16 and the other has DYS557=17
Kit 436776 is PH908+, he has DYS561=16 and DYS557=16, but he is FT14506-.
It's possible to draw a tree that is consistent with all of these SNP and STR results. I-PH908 men from several different branches are currently testing FT14506 at YSeq and we will learn more soon."
