I'm trying to find something about origin of Vasilii Vucashinovici born in Taganrog, Russia, 1891 June 21, as son of Andrei and Sofia. He and his family (including my mother) became French citizens – Voucachinovitch in 1931; they moved to Romania in 1925. His father Andrei Vucashinovici was probably born in Taganrog, roughly around 1865. He is of Serbian origin. Andrei, when get old, around 1913, entered a Mount Athos Monastery (Helandriou ?, Rossikon ?). The Vucasinovici probably emigrated from Serbia to Taganrog during or after the Russian-Turkish war of 1768-1774.

Is it possible to find some documents about their more precise origin?

If we are talking about 18th century, could there be sense to search some connection with voyvoda Vukota Vukashinovich (+1718), and his descents? He was mentioned in 1713. as elected head of several Montenegro tribes, to make them calm, together with 16 more members of court of justice.

Vukota's family was from Orzrinichi tribe.

He had numerous posterity, from which many become famous, but usually with different surnames: Vukadinovich, Vukalovich, Perkovich, Sharchevich, Matanovich, Vukovich & Koiadinovich.

It is not impossible, that someone just from this family went to Russia in Russian-Turkish war, as a warrior.

I believe that they could be a mercant family. It would be useful to check serbian mercants colonies in Trieste, Smyrna, Odessa, is there any mention of Vukasinovics.

I've found that some brothers Vukasinovic have store in Taganrog at the end of 19th century. Their store were placed in the building of rich Greek Mark Spiridonovič Magula at the adress Street Petrovskaya 70, Taganrog.

It is said:В магазине братьев Вукашинович можно было купить иностранные вина, водку и 98-процентный очищенный спирт.

Your info concerning Vukota Vukashinovitch is promising. I do not know what beeing a member of the Montenegrean Orzrinichi tribe means. Could you elaborate ? Maybe looking for some descendents named Vukashinovitch.

The ”brothers Vukasinovic” – beverage merchants – could be relatives (nephews ?) to Vasilii, my maternal grandfather.

Andrei V., born around 1865, was not a merchant but the owner of a Rope Factory (“cordes maritimes” ) in Taganrog (or Odessa – my mother was not sure) – producing ropes for sail ships. Sofia, his wife, was a Principal at a school in Taganrog (a tough woman – this could be the reason he went to a Athos Monastery !).

Is there any possibility to find the birth certificate of Andrei V. in Taganrog ?

In Montenegro once you had life organised in tribes. Ozrinichi (I see now that I made a tip mistake earlier) are one of the tribes. But this is just hypotetically talking, we don't know from which exactly Vukasinovichs are your's.

Here is a little map of part of tribes in todays Montenegro and nearby Herzegovina.

You see here a Boka bay, on SW of todays Montenegro, and on NE there is Ozrinichi tribe. ;)

Yes, that could be some relatives of your's, or even you direct ancestors.

In the beginning of April of 1519. Pater Vukashinovich and Grgur and Tomo Radoikovich from Dubrovnik founded trading company with capital of 3.676 ducats for trading with fabrics in Sofia (todays capital of Bulgaria). According to sources of the time, they were probably from Zupci tribe, in hinterland of Dubrovnik.

I think it's better to call them clans, and not tribes. English definition for a tribe is a bit different than the Serbian one.

This document above  shows that mercants Vukasinovics in Taganrog were Serbian citizens in 1880. So they came to Russia in that period. For the beginning it is important to confirm connection of your ancestors to those Vukasinovcis in Taganrog, and then to look for some Vukasinovics mercants in 19th century Principality of Serbia which had business in Russsia.
