Hi there. I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I've been looking into my family tree, my Grandad Milan Milovic was born in 'Trnava, Yugoslavia'. I found a letter addressed from Nis, Uzice Serbia from his brother Branislav Milovic. Their parents were Milosh and Maria Milovic - could have been another brother too. My family does not have much info to pass on to me so this is all I can work with.

Milan (my Grandad) moved to Eccles and married my Nana Lilian Anderson and had three children Peter, Maria and Andrew. He died in Eccles, Salford in 1997

Hi, your grandfather is most probably from village Trnava near Užice in western Serbia, there exists familiy Milović. According to researcher LJuba Pavlović (he is not 100% reliable) , founding ancestor of Milović familly came to Trnava from Kosijeri in Montenegro (most probably sometime in 18th century). Surname Milović is most commonly derived from male name Milovan
