G2a (Brian Hamman, Rolf Langland):
Hi Brian,
This is a significant result.
My guess is that Tomic and Jerotic (and Banasevic?) are a new sub-branch of YSC33, since I note they have DYS565=13, which is found in various sub-branches of YSC33. Tomic etc. may be in the same branch as Vuletic, but Vuletic does not have results for DYS413 or DYS565. Probably there is a Balkan, East-Europe branch of YSC33, which has DYS565=13 and the DYS413 marker oddity 14-22.
Let’s think this over and set up a new subgroup later today or tomorrow.
It seems that YSC33 has incredible diversity of sub-clades. Rojek (581547) is probably YSC33 also.
The FTDNA roster used to show 3 components for DYS413, but that was changed some time ago. So basically, if the first component shown now for DYS413 is below 20, I’m assuming 3 components. In any case, we can treat it as a significant marker oddity.
